General information 

Preference will be given to team nominations but individual nominations are accepted, and players will be arranged into teams as needed. Entries are being limited to a maximum number of teams for social distancing requirements associated with COVID19 requirements and venue capacity.

All players will need to be registered with South Coast Volleyball Inc. (VNSW affliliate) or a State volleyball association for insurance purposes. ($60 for adults, $45 for juniors valid till 31 Mar 2022): https://www.revolutionise.com.au/southcoastvolley/registration/

 Players are not permitted to bring alcohol or consume alcohol in the playing venue or the school grounds and any player deemed to be under the influence of alcohol by the Venue Supervisor will not be permitted to play.

Cost

 $200 per team per duration of competition  Payments can be made to ‘Bega VB Club Inc’ BSB No. 062-505 Acc. No. 0090-2121 with reference ‘SCAC Term 3 – Team Name’. Entries are not confirmed until payments are received. Entries close 5 pm Monday June 30th 2021 with entry fees to be received by 5 pm Sun Jul 18th 2021. Competition rules

 Best of 3 sets or 45 minutes (including 5 mins warm up time, 2mins changeover between games) whichever comes first. First 2 sets to 25 and the 3rd set to 15. In the first 2 sets, the set score shall reach a minimum of 13 for the set to count toward for/against. In the final set a minimum score of 8 shall be obtained for the set to considered completed.

 The format is mixed volleyball. Teams are permitted a maximum of 8 players with the following restrictions: A maximum of 4 junior players per team and a minimum of 2 male and 2 female players shall be on court at all times. Junior players (<=17 years old at 31st Dec) shall be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the duration of participation.

 Maximum of 6 players on court with a minimum of 5 observing the minimum male and female player requirements to avoid forfeit. A forfeit shall be recorded as 0-25, 0-25 with a loss of 4 competition points.

 Indoor contact rules and unlimited substitutions rotating into the serving position is permitted

 It is not a requirement for teams to be in uniform, but it is preferred. Shirts of the same colour are best. Set up/pack up/duty  Teams will be expected to assist with set up and pack and perform duty as per the designated roster.

 Duty teams shall consist at minimum 1 referee and a scorer located opposite the referee. An additional 2 line judges and a 2nd referee is preferred. COVID19 requirements

 All participants shall sign and sign out for COVID19 tracking purposes.  Participants shall maintain a minimum distance of 1.5m inside the playing venue at all times and practice good hygiene

 Teams/players should bring their own towels, whistles and water bottles. It is a mandatory health requirement that teams provide their own whistles. This is good practice and essential in the COVID-19 protocols.
